Guillaume has a B.A. in Art History from Université Laval (2000), a M.A. in Art History from Université de Montréal (2003), and a post-graduate diploma in Arts Management from HEC Montréal (2007). Originally from the Québec City region, Guillaume now divides his time between Ottawa and Montreal and speaks French and English fluently.

Issue of Investigation

As a recipient of the 2008 Gordon Global Fellowship, Guillaume will explore the roles and responsibilities of Western countries – especially Canada – in fostering the establishment and the consolidation of viable arts and culture sectors in developing countries, in order to protect cultural diversity. Using a case study approach, he will focus on determining the needs of artistic milieus and developing policy options to support real international cooperation in the field of arts and culture.
